Why plant shops stock it
How it differs from R. foraminifera: flowering R. puberula has smaller leaves with fewer holes, its shoot is free rather than attached to the inflorescence, and it lacks the black mucilage that R. foraminifera forms from decaying cataphylls and prophylls.

How we pack it
Plants are cleaned, treated against pests at the quarantine office and packed bare-root in sphagnum moss, or in tissue for countries that do not accept moss, inside ventilated boxes.
Care after arrival
- Potting: pot it within a day of arrival in a light, well-draining aroid mix and keep it slightly moist, not wet, for the first two weeks.
- Light: bright, indirect light keeps the variegation.
- Water: water when the top 2–3 cm of the mix is dry. Soggy soil causes root rot.
- Support: a moss pole or plank for climbing.
- Pets: like most aroids, the sap contains calcium oxalate and irritates pets if chewed. Keep it out of reach of cats and dogs.
