Why plant shops stock it

Shingling aroids are rare in most markets, and Rhaphidophora cryptantha is one of the easiest to grow. Mounted on a cork or wooden board it makes a striking living-wall piece that customers notice. In Indonesia it is grown on garden walls; the roots grip firmly, so give it a board rather than a painted wall.

How we prepare your order

We cut each plant to about 20 cm the day before the quarantine inspection, keeping the aerial roots so it roots quickly after arrival. The plants are treated at the quarantine office, then packed in moss or tissue inside ventilated boxes. Buyers in South Korea, among others, have received our cuttings in good condition.

Ordering for your shop

  • Wholesale price: 25% below the catalog price when you order 20 Rhaphidophora cryptantha, or 100 plants in total with at least 4 of each species.
  • Mixed orders: combine it with other Rhaphidophora species and anything else in the wholesale catalog.
  • Lead time: export documents take 7–14 business days. Delivery then takes 2–3 days to Singapore and about a week to the United States or Europe by DHL Express.
  • Import permit: every US order needs a USDA import permit (PPQ 587). Read how to import plants from Indonesia for other countries, and our guide to the phytosanitary certificate.
  • Payment: Wise or bank transfer after we confirm availability.
  • Arrival guarantee: plants that arrive dead are replaced once, shipped with your next order. Report within 48 hours with an unboxing video and photos.

Care after arrival

  • Rooting: pot the cutting in a light aroid mix or moss and fix it against a board or moss pole straight away; new roots grip the surface within a few weeks.
  • Light: bright, indirect light. Direct sun scorches the leaves.
  • Humidity: high humidity keeps new leaves flat and large; 60% or more is ideal.
  • Water: water when the top 2–3 cm of the mix is dry, and make sure it drains well.
  • Feeding: a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength every 4–6 weeks during active growth.
