Why plant shops stock it
Caladiums grow from tubers and are sold for their colourful leaves in shaded gardens and pots. In cool or dry seasons they may die back and rest, then regrow from the tuber.

How we pack it
Plants are cleaned, treated against pests at the quarantine office and packed bare-root in sphagnum moss, or in tissue for countries that do not accept moss, inside ventilated boxes.
Care after arrival
- Light: bright, indirect light to light shade.
- Water: keep the mix moist while it is in leaf; keep the tuber almost dry while it rests.
- Warmth: warm; below about 15 °C it goes dormant.
- Pets: like most aroids, the sap contains calcium oxalate and irritates pets if chewed. Keep it out of reach of cats and dogs.
