Why plant shops stock it
A variegated elephant ear makes an instant statement plant, and white-splashed forms are rare in most markets. Large leaves would melt and rot inside a shipping box, so we cut them and send the corm, which travels safely and regrows its leaves after potting.
Several corm sizes are usually available; tell us which you prefer when you ask for a quote.

- Arrival guarantee: plants that arrive dead are replaced once, shipped with your next order. Report within 48 hours with an unboxing video and photos.
How we pack it
We ship this Alocasia as a corm (bulb) with the leaves removed: leaves bruise and rot in transit, while a corm travels well, passes inspection cleanly and sprouts within a few weeks of potting. Corms are cleaned, treated at the quarantine office and packed in moss or tissue inside ventilated boxes.
Care after arrival
- Starting the corm: plant it shallowly in a mix of bark, perlite and sphagnum moss, keep it warm and lightly moist, and wait for the first shoot.
- Light: bright, indirect light; no direct sun.
- Water: keep it lightly moist, never waterlogged.
- Temperature: 18–29 °C (65–85 °F), away from cold drafts.
- Pets: like most aroids, the sap contains calcium oxalate and irritates pets if chewed. Keep it out of reach of cats and dogs.
