Alocasia bisma has recently been found in Indonesia, it is also known as Emerald Dragon Scale. This rare alocasia belongs to the Araceae family. It has long, heart-shaped leaves and a silvery tint to the foliage.

It’s good for indoors and some places that don’t get direct sun or overly wet rainfall. Allow the soil to completely dry between waterings; over-watering causes sogginess, which is bad for the plants. Alocasia bisma needs to be in a mix of bark, perlite, and sphagnum moss that drains very well.

Alocasia Bisma Care Tips

Watering: consistently moist, but not waterlogged. Water the plant when the top inch or so of soil feels dry.
Light: bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun exposure, which can burn the leaves.
Soil: well-draining soil that is rich in organic matter. A mixture of potting soil and perlite or vermiculite can work well.
Fertilizer: Use a balanced fertilizer every two to four weeks during the growing season (spring and summer).
Temperature: warm temperatures, ideally between 60-85 degrees Fahrenheit. Avoid placing the plant in areas with drafts or extreme temperature fluctuations.
Humidity: high humidity. If the air in your home is dry, you can increase humidity by misting the leaves or placing the plant on a humidity tray.
