Why plant shops stock it
The clove tree is native to the Maluku Islands of Indonesia. Cloves are its dried flower buds. The tree is an evergreen with glossy, aromatic leaves and takes several years to flower, so most buyers grow it as a spice-garden or collector plant.
Ordering for your shop
- Wholesale price: 25% below the catalog price when you order 20 Syzygium Aromaticum, or 100 plants in total with at least 4 of each species.
- Mixed orders: combine it with other fruit plants and anything else in the wholesale catalog.
- Lead time: export documents take 7–14 business days. Delivery then takes 2–3 days to Singapore and about a week to the United States or Europe by DHL Express.
- Import permit: every US order needs a USDA import permit (PPQ 587). Read how to import plants from Indonesia for other countries, and our guide to the phytosanitary certificate.
- Payment: Wise or bank transfer after we confirm availability.
- Arrival guarantee: plants that arrive dead are replaced once, shipped with your next order. Report within 48 hours with an unboxing video and photos.
Import rules: rules for fruit plants are stricter than for houseplants and differ by species and country. Send us your country and species list first and we confirm what can be exported before you pay.
How we pack it
Fruit plants are prepared to meet the phytosanitary rules of your country, which usually means removing all soil from the roots, then treated at the quarantine office and packed for export with their export permit and phytosanitary certificate.
Care after arrival
- Arrival: plant it within a day in a free-draining mix and keep it shaded for the first one to two weeks.
- Light: bright light to light shade while young; full sun once established.
- Water: keep the soil moist but free-draining.
- Climate: humid tropics; frost-tender.
