‘Jose Buono’ combines collector-style variegation with easy care, so it suits customers new to rare plants. It grows equally well climbing a small trellis or trailing from a hanging basket.

We also grow the red-tinged Jose Buono Hybrid Red.

How we pack it

Plants are cleaned, treated against pests at the quarantine office and packed bare-root in sphagnum moss, or in tissue for countries that do not accept moss, inside ventilated boxes.

Care after arrival

  • Potting: pot it within a day of arrival in a light, well-draining aroid mix and keep it slightly moist, not wet, for the first two weeks.
  • Light: bright, indirect light.
  • Water: water when the mix is dry about 2–3 cm down.
  • Support: a small trellis or moss pole, or let it trail.
  • Pets: like most aroids, the sap contains calcium oxalate and irritates pets if chewed. Keep it out of reach of cats and dogs.
