Why plant shops stock it

Sometimes called the heavenly palm, Licuala Mapu is one of the most decorative small palms in cultivation. The yellow spotting increases as the plant matures, and its slow, compact growth suits indoor collections and humid greenhouses.

In nature it grows in shaded forest on acidic soil, which helps keep its mottled colour.

Ordering for your shop

  • Wholesale price: 25% below the catalog price when you order 20 Licuala mattanensis Mapu, or 100 plants in total with at least 4 of each species.

  • Lead time: export documents take 7–14 business days. Delivery then takes 2–3 days to Singapore and about a week to the United States or Europe by DHL Express.

  • Payment: Wise or bank transfer after we confirm availability.
  • Arrival guarantee: plants that arrive dead are replaced once, shipped with your next order. Report within 48 hours with an unboxing video and photos.

How we pack it

Plants are cleaned, treated against pests at the quarantine office and packed bare-root in sphagnum moss, or in tissue for countries that do not accept moss, inside ventilated boxes.

Care after arrival

  • Mix: a slightly acidic, free-draining palm or aroid mix.
  • Light: shade to bright, indirect light; direct sun burns the leaves.
  • Water and humidity: keep it evenly moist and humid; it is a slow grower, so avoid heavy feeding.
  • Patience: new leaves take months to develop fully.
