The purple-blushed pads make Santa Rita one of the most colourful prickly pears, and it needs very little care.

How we pack it
Plants are cleaned, treated against pests at the quarantine office and packed bare-root in sphagnum moss, or in tissue for countries that do not accept moss, inside ventilated boxes.
Care after arrival
- Light: full sun.
- Soil: very free-draining, gritty.
- Water: sparingly; let the soil dry completely between waterings.
- Handling: wear gloves: the pads carry fine glochids.
